Celimax The Vita-A Retinal Shot Tightening Booster is a 15ml evening treatment built around 0.1% liposomised retinal. Celimax calls retinal a more advanced form of vitamin A than retinol. The booster also contains 3% Matrixyl 3000 peptides (palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7), 1% panthenol, niacinamide and adenosine. It is designed to target the look of wrinkles and enlarged pores and help skin look smoother and firmer.

The formula uses Celimax's A-Shot technology. These are fine microparticles (hydrolysed sponge spicules) designed to help retinal reach deeper into the skin. Because of them, a slight tingling feeling is normal. The particles shed naturally with dead skin cells. The yellow colour comes from the retinal itself, not from added dye.

If you are new to retinoids, start every other night for the first two weeks, then build up to every evening as your skin adjusts. Patch test first, avoid the eye area and wear sunscreen the next morning. Celimax does not recommend it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
